No sooner had the BBC reported that boffins had found that the “female G-spot can be detected” than other boffins set about trying to prove that it doesn’t: “G-spot doesn’t exist, say researchers”.

How did they come to know more about the inside of your vagina than you? They questioned 1,800 women and asked whether they had a G-spot – easy!

Says the BBC:

The women in the study, who were all pairs of identical and non-identical twins, were asked whether they had a G-spot.

If one did exist, it would be expected that both identical twins, who have the same genes, would report having one.

But this pattern did not emerge and the identical twins were no more likely to share a G-spot than non-identical twins who share only half of their genes.

“This is by far the biggest study ever carried out and shows fairly conclusively that the idea of a G-spot is subjective,” says co-author of the study Professor Tim Spector.

Morrissey On Stage at the Oasis

In June 2007, Joy and I went to New York to see Morrissey at Madison Square Gardens. He cancelled. That was a long way to go to end up seeing a Smiths tribute band in BB King’s Blues Club.

Then we were at the Campden Roundhouse on the Friday night of his week-long residency in January 2008. He went off stage after 4 or 5 songs – opened with a brilliant version of Please, Please, Please… if I remember correctly.

I had tickets for the Sunday too, but that and the Saturday night gig were cancelled. I had seen him on the opening night, so still managed to get a decent fix of Moz that week.

This year, we saw Morrissey on the Friday and Saturday for his 50th birthday gigs. 2 brilliant nights. Went with my youngest son (age 16) on Moz’s birthday – he left drenched in sweat and delighted that he crowdsurfed. lol.

Before I knew it, he had been carried off to the right, with the band following pretty sharpish. 10 minutes later a roadie came on and asked us to be patient. And about half an hour after that we were told Morrissey had left the building and has “seriously ill”.

I’ve got tickets to see Morrissey at the Albert Hall on Tuesday. Of course I’d love to see him play there, but, unlike some, I’m not going to piss and moan if he doesn’t.

Venus is quieter this year, with exhibitor numbers down 20% on last year by all accounts, though I haven’t been counting myself. And judging by the number of 42-inch plasmas displaying hardcore fisting, rimming and rutting DVDs, there’s still a limitless appetite for digital pervery – and the supply is doing its best to keep up with it.

The Web porn companies are still out in force, parading a bevy of, well, if not beauties then certainly buxomly animated girls who seem to slip out of their G-strings at the slightest provocation – namely, a moustachioed German bloke (or, more often, several) happens to point a camera in their direction.

Today’s the trade day, so the amateur ogglers aren’t out in force, but there still numerous enough to flock together as the slightest flash of gash. Still, keeps them off the streets.

Exhibitors have been generous with product samples. One almost flattened me in here haste to hand me a blue plastic bag, saying “I have three DVDs for you. Here.” in a voice that made it clear it was an offer I wasn’t going to be allowed to refuse.

Grosse Schamlippen 5 – I hear that it’s a vast improvement on the 4th in the series, but not nearly as good as episodes 1-3.

Japan Girls Style Nr 3 – I don’t think there’s much of a plot, but from the back of the box it appears to be German girls dressing up in the style of Japanese school girls and then finding themselves in various states of penetrative undress.

Purzel-Video Gesamtprogramm – Appears to be some kind of video catalogue of DVD filth, with highlights of chart-toppers like Gothic Lolitas Nr 8 (hmmm), Grosse Titten enge Fotzen 2 (I don’t know either) and Amateur-Piss 18 (no prizes for guessing).

So all in all, despite the recession, it’s plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose for Venus Berlin. Though there isn’t as much midget porn this time around.

I’ve been away from Sex Toys Insider for such a long time that I’ve forgotten what I’ve got on here. I whacked Google Analytics on it to see if it’s getting any traffic at all and I’m hearted to see that some days the blog get as many as 20 visits a day. With an 90% bounce rate. Oh.

But why are these fickle visitors so bouncey bouncey bouncey? A glance at the search terms that bring people here reveals that they’re coming for filth and not finding it.

In with a bullet at #1 – ass midget – 7 visits in the last 4 days, with a 100% bounce rate. What is it about that post that’s not to like? Maybe people are looking to buy one. Or see an ass midget in action – videos of which you are not going to find on YouTube, though you will find videos of midgets getting, what the Americans euphemistically call “ass”.

Other top search terms with a 100% bounce rate include pandora peaks sex doll, big cockshow (!), and the slightly polite arse midget sex toy.
