How to invent a sex toy - week 4
October 6th, 2006
Development continue apace. We’re negotiating with China - well, a Chinese manufacturer to be precise - via a UK middleman to make sure Product X can be made to our exactingly precise specification at a cost that mean we can sell it for a price that customers will be prepared to pay.
We’ve also decided to produce two versions of the vibrator, reasons for which will become clear when we unveil the product. One version will be 6.5 inches long, the other 9 inches long.
Greenpeace is going to be happy, too. It’ll be made from Velvet Touch material which (as the name suggests) is wonderfully soft to the touch and doesn’t contain phthalates.
And, as a bonus, both models are going to be waterproof so there’ll be plenty of bath and showertime fun.
Deadline-wise there is small fly in the ointment. Having placed orders for iBuzz 2 (coming soon!), 5 new products in our Tracey Cox range and 2 (if not 3) products in our own-brand essentials range, we have realised that we’re running out of space to store everything.
And with Christmas just around the corner, we’re running out of time as well.
So, while development of Product X will continue at the same breakneck speed, we might have to delay its launch until after Christmas. Which would make us sad, but it would give everyone something extra to look forward to at Valentine’s.
