More entertaining Apple and iBuzz coverage
December 21st, 2006
More heartily amusing coverage of the Apple versus iBuzz legal spat. MP3.com has reported story, quoting an except from the iBuzz.co.uk:
In Love Labs’ words, Apple objected to the company’s Web site ‘animation showing silhouettes of girls diddling themselves silly with white vibrators.’
I am overjoyed that such a silly quote has appeared on such an august Web site. Here’s the full story on MP3.com: iPod-driven vibrator draws Apple’s ire
Elsewhere, Mac User says iBuzz is definitely NSFW and adds: “It might rot your brain, or warp your psyche, or grow hair on your palms, or make you go blind.”
The jury seems to be out on whether iBuzz Two is a good idea or not.
iPodblog says: iBuzz Two: The Perfect Stocking Stuffer
While Podcastingnews news has iBuzz at #1 in their list of the The Ten Worst iPod Accessories.
Bah humbug.

First of all thank you for posting this blog. A lot of great and funny information.
Regarding the iBuzz.
It will be made clear that copying an American companies marketing campaign is a bad idea and a quick way to a lawsuit (unless you live in China.) They should distance themselves from copying Apple and focus on their niche market. Focus on the music and couple aspects and get some hype with some celeb couples.
I have the following opinion from looking at the pictures:
Colours and sleeves look good. Alternate colour schemes and sleeves shapes would sell more. What about if there are two girls? or if one girl wants to use both?
Also some different animals Lion, Penguin, Jellyfish dude could be introduced to the scene.
Rabbit is being overused.
The “Ten Worst” article does not list very convincing points but mentions the headphones. Hopefully the iBuzz2 comes with a cord which can be plugged directly into a line-out and into the iBuzz.
The wires will be a problem. The bullets might develop connection problems, especially if you people pulling on them. They need to be made wireless.
Also the rabbit should talk dirty (but in a cute way.)
Rich I wanted to ask what do you think of the following idea: Design a compact remote control vibrator which would also pick up on ambient noise and amplify it. (NASCAR, Subway, or clubbing). Could also be plugged into an .mp3 player for travel.
All the best and happy holidays.

Thanks KingRabbit
I’m glad you like my blog.
You’re right about the rabbit - there are lots of them around. Some of the rest of the animal kingdom should be allowed to get a look in.
iBuzz Two comes with a lead that connects it to any standard headphone socket - so if your line-out is one of those, it’ll do the trick.
Audi-Oh was able to pick up ambient noise, but it couldn’t really deliver any subtlety of vibration from it… Getting vibrations off NASCAR cars would be great though!
