I used to be editor of .net magazine, a sometime trendy but mostly nerdy Internet magazine. It’s still going, but times (and the Internet) have changed, so the mag’s that published now is nothing like it was when I worked on it.
Anyway, the bane of my existence were the ultra-tedious cover meetings when we’d have to sit round and argue the toss over the words to use on the cover, as if changing a word here, a line break there, and point size over there would actually make any difference to newsstand sales.
No such problems at the illustrious Swing Mag, though. This old-media answer Adult Friend Finder is jam-packed with horny women looking to get it on. So no need to fuss about the coverlines, just get straight to the point:
