As companies get bigger, their premises shinier and their flagpoles taller, so their company signs get smarter. Down the road from us, Herman Miller has a factory and office where, I assume, it makes the sort of ultra-hip office furniture that was so popular during the dotcom boom days. And out front is a well-smart sign with bright red Herman Miller logo.
But from a certain angle in a certain light, it reveals a subliminal message:

Maybe they’re not just making furniture in there.
