We put out some press releases today to announce the launch of Sex Toys TV where you can see full-on video footage of sex toys in action. But no nudity. Sorry. (It’s a sin, I know, but we’re actually quite proud. Of Sex Toys TV, not the lack of nudity.) Anyway, it didn’t take the noo medja sales teams long to go into overdrive and we were hit with a barrage of cold calls and e-mails trying to sell us more media. My fave was this one from Avanti Screenmedia, which promised to put Sex Toys TV on plasma screens in 500 bars and (ahem Gentlemen’s Clubs). I can’t even begin to think how we’d work out the return on that investment – surely anybody who sees a TV in a pub is too pissed to remember what they’ve seen on it…? I know I am. Anyway, here’s their pitch…

great idea, but a little cheaky having New Woman say you guys were the first to show this kind of media to demo products. http://www.passion8.com were showing similiar clips several years ago, and http://www.sexshop365.co.uk have had a load up for a while too.
Thanks for your comment Sara. We can’t “have” New Woman say anything at all – they write what they like. And journalists have been known to get things wrong.
But you have to say that Sex Toys TV is in a different league to the odds-and-sods clips on Passion8 and the iffy 3D spin-o-vision on Sexshop365.
