There’s some very interesting discussion at Joystiq about video game sex and what’s difficult about making in-game characters “have” sex. “A conclusion that came out of the discussion was the company who makes a friendly to use multiple points of contact software will make millions through licensing between the fighting and sex games genre,” says the article. It begs the question about what the actual gameplay is going to be when two realistically rendered characters are having sex on screen. Are we supposed to be wagging, button-bashing, scrolling our click-wheels, or what? Maybe all three for a successful (ahem) outcome.
Joystiq also interviews sex-in-games expert Brenda Braithwaite.
