What am I bid for a Richard Longhurst on eBay?

Googling for your own name is a sure-fire sign that you’ve got too much time on your hands – or that you’ve temporarily tip-toed the wrong side of “vain”. It’s always interesting to see what the Web’s saying about you, and to see people who share the same name.

But when I last did myself, I was perturbed to see that I’m for sale on eBay. I was under the impression that it’s wrong to sell body parts on eBay, either dead ones or for organ transplant, so it must be a clear breach to try to sell entire humans.

Richard Longhurst for sale on eBay

Needless to say, I was actually quite flattered that somebody (or, more likely, eBay’s automatic AdWord-generating bot) thought that I was worth bidding on.

But not as flattered as when I found out a couple of years ago that Captain Mostly had cast me as the titular transvestite in a PC adventure game called Richard Longhurst And The Box That Ate Time. I start off naked and you have to find me some clothes – makes Halo 3 look a bit poor and no mistake.
